THE sounds from Down Under of celebrated grammy nominated guitarist Tommy Emmanuel are heading to Warrington.

Two-time Grammy nominee Tommy Emmanuel will be taking to the Parr Hall stage on May 18 to entertain fans with a whirlwind of guitar styles as part of The Intimate Sound Tour.

The Australian guitarist is internationally renowned for his versatile repertoire and passionate performances, which have attracted fans from across the globe.

Boasting a unique style, Tommy is hailed for his ability to effortlessly switch between genres, from pop, jazz and blues to classical, flamenco, and aboriginal styles.

Influenced by the great Merle Travis and Chet Atkins style of fingerpicking, Tommy’s technique is second to none as he manages to imitate the sound of an entire band – covering drums, bass, rhythm, lead guitar, and a vocal melody simultaneously, resulting in an effect that is guaranteed to blow you away.

Having been made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2010, Tommy’s reputation as one of the nation’s leading guitarists is spreading rapidly, and now auditoriums across the UK, Australia and USA are set to fill as he continues his world tour.

Promising an unforgettable night of live music, with a special guest appearance from American jazz guitarist Frank Vignola, The Intimate Sound Tour is one musical experience you don’t want to miss!

Tickets are on sale now at www.pyramidparrhall.com or by calling Box Office on 01925 442345.
