Barley Mow staff and customers praised after tackling man who had five knives

WARRINGTON Police have praised staff and customers at the Barley Mow after they sprang into action to deal with a male who allegedly produced knives and made threats to persons within the pub.

A police officer attended at the premises in Golden Square in Warrington town centre and arrested the male as he was being detained on the floor by customers earlier today.

By the time further officers arrived five knives have been allegedly found upon this male.

The male is currently under arrest for allegations of Affray and Possession of a Bladed Article.
