Man charged with knifepoint robbery in town centre

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with a knifepoint robbery which took place in Warrington town centre yesterday.

The man, of no fixed abode, has been charged and remanded by Warrington CID and will appear before Magistrates in the morning.

Meanwhile earlier today a male was arrested at Tesco Extra for an allegation of Theft of Alcohol – it is also alleged that the male also damaged the wall of the security office.
