Care home wants to cut cost of storage

A WARRINGTON care home wants to install a steel storage container in its grounds – to save the cost of having to rent storage space elsewhere.
The application by Padgate House Residential Care Home, off Vulcan Close, Padgate will come before borough council planning chiefs tomorrow.
It envisages a steel container clad in timber panels so that it will be visually inconspicuous and will not be prominent on the street scene or a wider area.
Planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved and say it will not impact on the living conditions of occupiers of neighbouring properties.
The proposal has been established as the most cost effective solution for the home’s storage problems.
