A BODY has been discovered at Warrington – but it is not that of missing pensioner Keith Taylor who has now not been seen for more than three weeks.
The body of a man was discovered in woodland off Delph Lane, Houghton Green yesterday and police say the death is not been treated as suspicious – and that it is not 76-year-old Mr Taylor, who disappeared on December 15.
The man’s family have been informed and a post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
In the meantime, the search continues for Mr Taylor, of Connaught Avenue, Padgate, who was reported missing on December 15 and was last seen the same day on Hilden Road, shortly after 5pm.
Police say Mr Taylor’s disappearance is “out of character.”
He is 5ft 4 inches tall, with grey hair and moustache and was wearing blue jeans and a navy Regatta zip-up top when last seen.
Anyone who believes they may have seen him since December 15 is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 786 of December 15.
