Toy collection for needy children

STAFF at Warrington-based Galliford Try Partnerships and Linden Homes North West, with support from their supply chain, have donated Christmas gifts to disadvantaged children across the region.
Aiming to make the festive season a happier time for less fortunate children staff at the regeneration business collected toys, books and other presents as part of the Mission Christmas initiative.
One in four children in the North West are living in poverty this Christmas it is claimed, and the Mission Christmas appeal aims to make Christmas morning special for them.
Alyssa Knowles, bid co-ordinator at Galliford Try Partnerships, arranged the charity activity, with the team donating more than £1,000 in brand new gifts.
The Mission Christmas appeal supports Cash for Kids, the largest annual Christmas toy appeal in the UK.
Alyssa added: “This time of year is about giving to those less fortunate and all staff at Galliford Try Partnerships quickly got behind Mission Christmas appeal and have been incredibly supportive of this cause.
“As a company we are passionate about supporting local charities and giving back and we hope these gifts put a smile on the children’s faces this Christmas.”
