WARRINGTON Police are urging residents to check their outhouses, garages and sheds in the Padgate and Bruche areas as the search continues to find Keith Taylor.

Keith aged 76, went missing from his home in Connaught Avenue, Warrington last Friday (December 15) and are following up possible sightings made by members of the public.

Insp Matt Lagar said: “We’re into the third day and, despite our best efforts, we have still yet to trace Keith’s whereabouts. Your response has been tremendous and we thank you sincerely for your assistance in our search. We are continuing to ask you to keep your eye out for Keith – check your gardens and outhouses. If you have CCTV or dashcam footage please check it for any sightings.”

Police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and have been out over the weekend alongside the Constabulary’s specialist search teams, dogs and the police helicopter, Cheshire Constabulary Specials, and volunteers from Cheshire Search and Rescue in an effort to find Keith. As a precaution the underwater search team is also assisting due to canals and rivers being close by.

Insp Lagar explained: “There is no suggestion that he has fallen into water, it is a line of enquiry that has to be followed to ensure we are doing everything to find Keith.

“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our teams including the Special Constabulary and Cheshire Search and Rescue volunteers for their continued help and support. Keith’s family appreciates the support from everyone, including the public, at this distressing time.”

Keith was last seen by his family at his home address in the Padgate area of Warrington at 7.30am on 15 December and has not been seen since, despite an extensive search by officers.

There had been a further sighting at 2pm on 15 December in Connaught Avenue and officers are continuing to follow up other possible sightings made by members of the public.

Keith is described as 5’ 4” tall, white, with grey hair which has flecks of black in it, and a grey moustache. He is likely to be wearing blue jeans, which are frayed at the bottom, and a navy Regatta zip up jacket. He is frail and sometimes walks with a stoop.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 786 of 15 December 2017.
