WARRINGON Borough Council has issued a warning: Don’t get caught out when black and blue bin collections change over the festive period.

Due to the bank holidays there will be changes to collections from Tuesday December 26 to Friday December 29:

*  Tuesday 26 collection will be on Wednesday 27
*   Wednesday 27 will be on Thursday 28
*   Thursday 28 will be on Friday 29
*  Friday 29 will be on Saturday 30

Residents are being asked to make sure all waste is inside bins with the lid closed.
Wrapping paper can’t be recycled but Christmas cards can. For more details of what you can and can’t recycle please see https://www.warrington.gov.uk/info/201079/bins_recycling_and_waste/2216/which_bin

Anyone who wants to recycle their Christmas tree and help St Rocco’s Hospice at the same time should visit http://www.stroccos.org.uk/events/christmas-tree-collection/  or call 575780.

Volunteers from Warrington Borough Council and partner organisations will be collecting trees for recycling in exchange for a charity donation.

Green bin collections will start again in March.
