New health centre plans submitted

NEW proposals for a GP surgery and pharmacy at Chapelford are to be placed before Warrington planning chiefs on Wednesday.
Outline plans for a medical centre on land near the neighbourhood centre in Santa Rosa Boulevard were approved as long ago as 2002 and earlier detailed plans were submitted last year.
The new scheme has been submitted by NHS Property Services.
Planning officers are recommended the scheme be approved and say it involves a pavilion-like design which visually links Dakota Park into the village centre.
Inside, the layout minimises “patient journey” distances around the main building and maximises the use of natural lighting.
There will be six consulting rooms, two treatment rooms, potential for future expansion, disabled parking, a drop-off area and the pharmacy.
