Woman knocked to ground in car park robbery

A WOMAN was knocked to the ground as she was robbed on the car park at the Birchwood Shopping Centre, Warrington.
Two men – believed to be of Eastern European origin – were involved in the incident at 1.45pm last Tuesday (November 14).
They escaped with a quantity of cash.
Police said the woman was walking to her car when she was approached by two men who demanded she hand over her handbag.
As she placed the bag in the boot of her car, one of the men grabbed it. There was a struggle during which the woman fell and the offenders then ran off.
One of the men was of skinny build and the other was also slim. They appeared to be Eastern European.
Anyone who has any information, or who witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident 262 of 20 November.
