All set for Lymm Dickensian Day

LAUNCHED more than thirty years ago Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival will take place on Saturday, December 9.

Started in 1985, the festival continues to grow, attracting new stalls and entertainment each year.

The Village centre will be closed to traffic from 8am to allow the various stalls to setup, and the day will commence at 11am.

In addition to the stalls there will entertainment throughout the day provided by the local schools, choirs, dramatic groups, and street entertainers.

The Grand procession will leave Statham Avenue by the Lymm Hotel at 1.30pm.

Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival will finish with the flotilla along the Bridgewater Canal (Weather permitting) around 4.45pm.

Chairman Steve Harper said: “Please come along and support the many local charities, schools, and businesses that help to make Lymm Dickensian Christmas Festival a day for all the family.”
