CHARITIES AND community groups will be getting a much-needed boost this Christmas as a result of Lymm and district Round Table’s annual bonfire.
An impressive £6,000 was raised by the successful event at Lymm Rugby Club.
The popular event – once again sponsored by Kids Planet Nursery and held at Lymm Rugby Club – featured two fireworks displays, a range of food, refreshments and fairground rides. Lymm Ladies Circle also raised over £850 for charity by serving up warming beverages and treacle toffee.
Bonfire organiser Ed Gough said: “Despite the rain we had a fantastic turnout and we are eternally grateful to everyone who came along to support the event.
“We have a great group of hard-working lads who have volunteered their free time to help out. Their commitment to the cause means a lot of charities and community groups will be getting a much-needed boost this Christmas.”
