FIREFIGHTERS were called out to deal with a blaze involving a large quantity of cardboard on a car park at Warrington.
The incident was adjacent to a retail store on Wilson Patten Street shortly before 8pm last night.
One fire engine from Penketh attended and firefighters used a hose reel jet and a stack drag to separate the stacked piles of cardboard.
In a separate incident, fire crews went to a fire involving a bin in Nevada Close, Westbrook, believed to have been caused by a discarded cigarette. They used a hand-held device to extinguish the blaze.
