Santa set to arrive in 1930’s style

For Bents Garden & Home, 2017 has been all about its 80th anniversary, so it was only right that Father Christmas should make his annual arrival in a classic car built in the decade the family owned and run business was born.  And there could be only one colour…

A bright red 1930s Chevrolet Sports Roadster will provide this year’s stylish transportation for the Big Man, who arrives at Bents this Saturday, November 11 at 10am.

Following his arrival, Father Christmas will be in residence at the Centre until December 24, walking round, taking time to meet the little ones and giving out special Christmas badges.  He will then be joined by several of his reindeer-in-waiting at Bents’ Festive Family Fun Weekend on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 December.

In addition to Father Christmas and his real reindeer, the Festive Family Fun Weekend promises lots of additional entertainment with fairground rides, the arrival of Bents’ forest of real trees and hot punch and mince pies sold for Bents’ Charity of the Year, all of which can be enjoyed on both days between 11am and 4pm.

And there’s more fun for the little ones every Monday morning with festive themed bauble painting taking place between 9 – 11am.  Booking is required and can be made online at bents.co.uk.

A reindeer themed treasure hunt is hidden throughout the Centre and can be enjoyed at any time whilst Bents’ Winter Food Market continues to serve delicious European inspired foodie delights up until Friday December 22, open daily from 12noon.
