WARRINGTON’S only ladies’ barbershop chorus bagged silver medals in the national barbershop singing competition at Bournemouth.
The Cheshire Chord Company ttok part in the annual Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singers (LABBS) competition, which this year had the added excitement of running alongside the European Barbershop Convention (EBC).
The weekend started with the quartet competition in which Warrington had two groups to support – Shockwave and Halo.
Both put on fantastic performances in the semi-finals with the full chorus in the audience to cheer them on.
The full choir then took to the stage for the chorus competition and after an exhilarating performance picked up the silver medal.
They also took fourth place in the European rankings, against some very stiff competition
