POLICE sealed off Legh Street, Warrington this morning and warned early morning motorists to avoid the area because of possible traffic issues.
A bus had broken down and caught fire and was causing hold-ups.
Fire crews, some wearing breathing apparatus, used two hose reel jets to extinguish the blaze.
Police were assisting a breakdown crew to clear the blockage. All passengers were escorted safely from the bus and the cause of the incident is now being investigated.
