A WARRINGTON woman has made use of the Halloween period to embark on a non-invasive, silent protest about proposals to build houses on Green Belt land in the borough.
Rachel Williams placed illuminated pumpkins spelling out the message “Save our Green Belt” in front of the Golden Gates outside Warrington Town Hall.
She described the move as “stage one” of a protest to protect the green pastures of Warrington and dubbed it “Happy Halloween WBC”.
Stage two is set to follow, code name “Operation Chalk all about it” she said.
Photographs of her “pumpkin protest” have been a big hit on Facebook.
