Flood alert warning for Mersey Estuary at Warrington

THE Environment Agency has issued a Flood Alert warning for the Mersey Estuary in Warrington area from 11.45 am this morning (Saturday) and tonight’s high tide.

Areas at risk of flooding are Fidlers Ferry, Eastford Road, Arpley Bridge, Knutsford Road, Howley, Kingsway North and Westy.

The flood alert has been issued for the Mersey Estuary following the high tide at Liverpool of 4.97 metres at 10:45 today (Saturday).

Specific locations and the times that the flood alert covers are Fiddlers Ferry at 11:45, Eastford Road 12:00 and Arpley Bridge 12:15.

The following high tides at 23:00 on 4th November and at 11:30 on the 5th November are also forecast to reach the flood alert levels.

The Agency is not expecting any property flooding from high tides over the coming days. But they ware warning people to be aware of their local surroundings and remain safe. They will continue to monitor and will update this message as the situation develops.
