WARRINGTON Town face a tough tie in the FA Trophy following on from Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Bamber Bridge – a visit from Ashton United.

Ashton have already inflicted a league double over the Yellows this season, winning 1-0 at Cantilever Park in August and 2-0 at home last month.

Warrington will have to be at their best if they want to win the second qualifying tie at Cantilever Park on Saturday, November 11th, kick off 3pm.

Meanwhile tomorrow night’s proposed league fixture away at Nantwich has been postponed because of the Dabbers FA Cup commitments.

Nantwich issued the following statement “Due to the size of game next Saturday in the FA Cup First Round against Stevenage, the league and Warrington have kindly agreed to the postponement, allowing Dave Cooke and his squad a full week to prepare.

“The club would like to put on record their gratitude and thanks to the Evo-Stik league and to Warrington Town for their co-operation and support.”
