FIREFIGHTERS were called to a children’s play park at Warrington last night after fire was reported underneath a slide.
The blaze, off Winwick Road, involved a quantity of rubbish which had been placed beneath the slide and had obviously been startred deliberately.
Crews put out the fire using an extinguisher and the police were informed.
