PERFORMANCE poet Dr John Cooper Clarke is coming to Warrington’s Parr Hall on Saturday, October 28 – and tickets are still available.
The cult poet, who can also claim to be a movie star, rock star, TV and radio presenter, comedian, and social and cultural comedian will be arriving in town with a mix of classic verse, remarkable new material, ponderings on modern life, gags, riffs and chat.
JCC shot to prominence in the 1970s as the original people’s poet and since then his career has spanned cultures, audiences, art forms and continents.
He is as relevant and vibrant as ever, and his influence just as visible in today’s pop culture.
