WARRINGTON accountants WatkinsonBlack are inviting people to join them Macmillan Coffee morning this Friday (Sept 29) from 10am-4pm.

They have already reached over 50% of their target of raising £1,000  and would like to say “a huge thank you” to all those who have donated to the cause already.

Dave, Margaret and the staff at WatkinsonBlack are really looking forward to seeing as many people as possible on Friday and are dieting in advance of scoffing so much cake with you all.

Dave said: “We can all be affected by Cancer and Macmillan Nurses provide a loving and supporting service at a time when people are in most need.”

MeanwhileMargaret has created a “Just Giving” page which can be accessed at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/margaret-black4

This can be used to make a donation whether people can visit on Friday.

David added: “We would not be a firm of accountants if we did not remind you that if you are a UK taxpayer then ticking the gift aid box will increase the value of your donation by 25%, and at the same time enable you to claim additional tax relief if you pay higher rate tax.”

Whilst being called a coffee morning it is actually lasting well into the afternoon. It is being held on Friday 29th September at their offices at 264 Manchester Road, WA1 3RB between 10.00am and 4.00pm. If you can take some time out of your busy working day you are invited to call in and share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a piece of cake with them.

  1. It’s great to see so how many big and small local businesses, and also individual people & groups of friends, are all hosting Macmillan Coffee Mornings this Friday and other days too. A very worthy cause indeed. Well done and good luck to everyone. Here’s hoping a lot of money is raised by all 😀
