Fire in a deep fat fryer

FIRE crews were called to a shop in Warrington Road, Penketh last night after a fire involving a deep fat fryer was reported.
Two fire engines from Penketh went to the scene to find the fire was out when they arrived.
They carried out a full inspection of the kitchen and the flue and used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hotspots.
There were no reports of anyone being hurt.
