FIRE crews from Lymm, Widnes and Runcorn were called to a camping site at Kingsley shortly before midnight when fire broke out involving a camping pod.
The blaze was on the Lady Hayes Caravan and Camping site on Kingsley Road, Kingsley and involved a camping pod.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Two people who were in the pod were rescued by members of the public prior to the arrival of fire crews.
One man, suffering from smoke inhalation and one woman suffering from burns were taken to hospital by paramedics.
Fire crews were at the scene for an h our and 50 minutes.
The cause of the fire is being investigated but is believed to have been accidental.
