Charity beer fest raises the bar!

CHARITY money has come pouring in following the 7th annual Lymm Beer Fest in Warrington following another great attendance from the ale and gin-loving public.

Around £5,500 was raised at the popular two-day event, boosted by the main sponsorship from Warrington-based Urban Building Projects Ltd, specialists in domestic and commercial building, silver sponsorship from Globus and Battery Components, and Gin bar sponsorship from MKM Building Supplies Warrington. The numerous cask ales, ciders, wines and the premium gins on offer at Lymm Village Hall, along with fantastic food served up by local Turkish restaurant Flavours – ensured everyone went home well fed.

Mike Lavelle, who helped to organise the festival, said: “As well as following a successful formula we brought back the very popular Presidents’ Gin Palace which went down a storm again.

‘’The Friday night was rip roaring thanks to Hootin Annie’s Big Band, and despite the wet weather on Saturday another packed house enjoyed live music from Lily-Jo, Dave Fidler, Under the Table throughout the afternoon culminating in the fantastic Mica Miller in the evening.”

“I’d like to thank all our customers, sponsors, entertainers, suppliers and volunteers who created such a fantastic atmosphere. We are already looking forward to next year’s event!”
