WARRINGTON Town settled for a point on a tricky Tuesday night assignment to Workington.

Tony Gray’s first half goal was cancelled out shortly after the break by the hosts, and the Yellows were ultimately happy to come away with a 1-1 draw to continue their solid start to the season.

James Earl’s fine strike in the early stages of the second half proved to be the final goalscoring action, though Workington piled on the pressure.

The Yellows are back in action against newly promoted Farsley Celtic this Saturday at Cantilever Park (3pm).

Workington: Taylor, Simpson, Symington, Wordsworth, Douglas, Calvert, Holt, Earl, Ryan, Allison, Tinnion. Subs: Joel, Mellen, Rowntree, MacDonald, Williams.

Warrington Town: McMillan, Goulding, McKeown, Barnes, McCarten, Baker, Vassallo, Williams, Gray, Hughes, Richards. Subs: Mwasile, Kinsella, Carden, Jerome, Sanogo.
