HS2 – the company behind the controversial proposals for the high speed rail link – is to hold another consultation event in Culcheth.
This follows confirmation by the Government of the HS2 route from Crewe to Manchester and the West Midlands to Leeds.
The sessions will be at Culcheth Sports Centre in Charnock Road, Culcheth on Friday, September 15 between 2pm and 8pm.
People who attend will be able to talk to experts about the next stages of design and environment assessments and find out what consultations are currently being run.
Cllr Val Allen said: “The more people who know about this event and turn up to it the better. We have not given up the fight to stop HS2 in Culcheth.”

Will Helen Jones be attending this? Prime opportunity to meet with and also introduce herself to local residents. And hopefully answer their questions. After all, HS2 is a national issue and she is the local national politician.
