Traffic piles up as firefighters tackle car blaze

TRAFFIC was held up in Warrington Road, Glazebury early this morning after a car caught fire in the middle of the main road.
Firefighters from Birchwood went to the scene and the incident was coned off while they tackled the blaze at a;round 7.30am. A thermal imaging camera was used afterwards to check there were no furether ~”hot spots”
A spokesman said the car was “well alight” when they arrived at the scene.
In another incident, fire crews from Warrington and Lymm went to Bruche Avenue, Padgate to a report of two wheelie bins and fence panels on fire at a property.A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the flames.
