THREE men have been charged following the incident at Audi Westbrook, Warrington, when a police officer was allegedly run over as he attempted to stop them escaping.
Police have confirmed that three males from the West Yorkshire area have been charged with theft offences and remanded after being dealt with by Warrington CID.
The alleged assault against the police officer which took place on Friday evening, remains under investigation.
Police have thanked members of the public for the many messages of support for their injured colleague.
