Police praise boys who raised alarm over fire

POLICE have thanked two boys who called them out after vandals had set fire to an old bed in a Warrington park.
The incident was in Peel Hall Park last night and the blazing bed was in some bushes.
The two teenage boys called police and waited until they arrived to show them the location of the fire.
Firefighters attended to extinguish the blaze.
The two boys have subsequently been praised by numerous members of the public on social media.
