A MAN and a woman were arrested after allegedly stealing goods worth about £200 from Iceland on the Alban Retail Park at Warrington.
The couple, from the Merseyside area made it as far as the M62 b efore they were arrested.
Officers from the Motorway Patrol Group were waiting for them and swiftly made the arrest.
In another incident, a man in his 20s was arrested in Sainsbury’s, Church Street, Warrington, for possessing offensive weapons – a baseball bat and a screwdriver.
