Lymm shotgun burglar due in court

A man arrested in connection with a burglary involving the theft of a shotgun from a property in Lymm is due to appear in court.

Warrington CID have charged the male with an allegation of burglary from an address in Lymm in late April 2017.

It is alleged that during the burglary a shotgun was taken and this was later recovered along with ammunition when the arrest was made by officers just over the border in Greater Manchester.

In addition the male has also been charged with possession of the said firearm and ammunition as well as possession of a ‘buck knife.’

He also faces an unrelated charge of theft of meat from Sainsburys in Lymm, also in late April 2017. The male has been denied bail and remanded to appear before the court on Tuesday morning.
