BLACK Star Riders are a band with an impressive pedigree, made up of former members of bands such as Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper, Ratt and Megadeth.

They are coming to Warrington’s Parr Hall on Friday, November 10 as part of a tour to celebrate the success of their third studio album, Heavy Fire.

Formed in 2012 and taking inspiration for their name from a gang of outlaws in the 1993 western film Tombstone, Black Star Riders (BSR) feature lead guitarists Scott Gorham (formerly of Thin Lizzy) and Damon Johnson (Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper), lead vocalist/guitarist Ricky Warwick (Thin Lizzy, The Almighty), bassist Robert Crane (Vince Neil, Ratt) and drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (Megadeth, Alice Cooper, David Lee Roth).

They are now in their fifth year with three albums under their belt.

Heavy Fire gained worldwide chart success, reaching No 1 in the UK rock and indie charts, No 3 in the UK vinyl chart and No 6 in the UK national chart.

The band will be touring with special guests Blues Pills, Tax the Heat and Dirty Thrills.

Ricky Warwick said: “There’s nothing more exciting than playing live. BSR are absolutely thrilled to get back out in the UK, it’s a wonderful way to round out a great year.”

Tickets are already on sale and information is available from 01925 442345 www.pyramidparrhall.com
