PEOPLE were evacuated from the De Vere Daresbury Park Hotel, near Warrington after fire broke out in the leisure centre.
Fire crews from Warrington, Stockton Heath, Lymm and Runcorn were sent to the scene shortly before midnight last night.
Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to put out a fire in a vertical service duct caused by overheated towels.
A high pressure fan was then used to clear smoke from the premises.
There were no reports of any injuries.
