Network Warrington to trial eco-friendly tech-enabled bus

STARTING today, local bus company Network Warrington is test driving a new environmentally friendly and tech-enabled bus as it looks to improve the provision of its services.

The new bus, supplied by Alexander Dennis Ltd, offers on-board USB charging points for those using mobile technology on the go, as well as an improved front and rear suspension design which will improve ride comfort.

Ben Wakerley, Managing Director at Network Warrington, said: “It’s important that we maintain high service standards for our customers and one way we can do this is by considering what Network Warrington’s future fleet will look like.

“We want to operate fit-for-purpose, fuel-efficient and accessible buses throughout the borough and I’m pleased to see that the latest model we are sampling seems to fit the bill.

“We’d appreciate any feedback from passengers who catch a ride on the new bus as their views will help shape our future service.”

The new bus will be in operation from today, Wednesday 2 August, for two weeks and will be operating a combination of routes throughout Warrington.
