VANDALS have been blamed for a fire involving trees in Admirals Road, Birchwood, Warrington.
Firefighters from Birchwood Fire Station used a hosereel jet to extinguish the blaze last night.
It was believed the fire had been started deliberately and anyone with information about it is asked to call police on 101 or, anonymously, the Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
The previous day there was an earlier fire, involving felled trees in Birchwood Road, which was tackled by fire crews using a water backpack.
