Youth activities survey extended to end of month

A SURVEY of activities for young people in West Warrington has been extended to the end of the month.
This means there is still time for youngsters to have a say on activities and services available for them in areas like Chapelford, Old Hall, Whittle Hall or Westbrook.
The survey, which is aimed at the 11-to-25 age group, was originally planned to end on July 3.
But the borough council has extended the deadline to July 31.
People who take part will be entered into a competition with a £50 Amazon voucher up for grabs.
The council is working in partnership with Cheshire Police, Chapelford Sainsbury’s, Warrington Disability Partnership, Chapelford Primary School, Great Sankey Parish Council, Warrington Youth Club, west Warrington churches and local residents to help tackle anti-social behaviour.
A current list of activities available for young people in the area can be found on the council’s website.
Anyone who wants to get involved can complete the survey online at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/neighbourhoodyouthsurvey.
Paper copies are also available from the customer services desk at Chapelford Sainsbury’s.
Cllr Tony Higgins (pictured), the council’s lead member for leisure and community, said: “In recent years there has been a lot of development in Chapelford and the surrounding areas and we want to ensure that there are activities available for young people that they will want to be – and feel –part of.”
