PLANS to convert a former horticultural building on a Green Belt site into a three bedroom dwelling have been given the green light by Warrinton planning chiefs.

The development involves a former packing shed  at Cherry Nurseries, off Kay Lane, Lymm and was opposed by Lymm Parish Council and a nearby resident.

A garage and garden store were also involved construction of a garage and garden store adjoining the property..

Members of the borough council’s development management committee were told a nearby resident wass concerned about the traffic implications – and the parish council opposed the scheme on Green Belt grounds.

The site currently consists of a former packing shed, glasshouse and the remnants of several  glasshouses.
Planning officers recommended the scheme be approved. They did not believe it would have any significant impact  on the openness of the Green Belt.
