VIDEO: CROFT Carnival captured “village life” as community groups paraded through the picturesque Warrington village.

Local community groups dressed for the occasion with various themes from Croft WI’s float the Beatles, celebrating 50 years of the iconic pop group, to the School of Rock from Croft Primary School.

Mayor of Warrington Cllr Les Morgan joined the occasion alongside Croft Parish Council Chairman Keith Bland.

Following the carnival parade villagers packed onto the Memorial field which basked in glorious sunshine as Olivia Bellis was crowned Carnival Queen and Evie Twist was crowned Carnival Princess.

Rosebud was Alice Maloney while Croft Grandparent was Ernest Rudd.

Meanwhile an array of scarecrows decorated the village with a “village” life theme.
