Police appeal for witnesses after fatal collision on Birchwood Way

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a fatal collision on Birchwood Way yesterday evening which resulted in the death of a 36-year-old man from Culcheth, Warrington.

The collision occurred At 7.46pm on Wednesday,  June 7, when emergency services were called to a two vehicle collision on the A574 Birchwood Way, Warrington.

The collision was near to the bus lane east of the junction of Oakwood Gate and involved a Silver Lotus Elise and a Silver Vauxhall Zafira.

The driver of the Elise, a 36-year-old man from Culcheth, sadly died at the scene. No one else was injured as a result of the collision.

Cheshire police are appealing for any witnesses to the collision or any sightings of the Silver Elise prior to collision. Witnesses should contact Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident number 915 of 07/06/17.
