STAFF from Little Bollington Primary School near Lymm, will be taking part in the Starlight walk in Warrington this year.
When the staff were deciding which charity challenge they would take on for this year, Kyla Middleton didn’t hesitate to suggest St. Rocco’s Starlight Ladies Walk which takes place at midnight on Saturday 24 June this year.
Kyla said: “My Mum was cared for by St. Rocco’s back in 1995 in the original hospice building and I have always supported St. Rocco’s in one way or another.
“Every year we do something different as a team for charity and we’re excited to be supporting them this year.”
The ‘Bollington Babes’, made up of teachers, teaching assistants and the Headteacher, are already making great progress with their training. Headteacher Beth Johnstone had completed a 10 mile training walk only the previous Sunday, so they will all be raring to go by Saturday June 24.
The ladies are also impressed with the new purple t-shirts and colourful accessories and to help boost their fundraising are thinking of planning a Purple Day at the school.
