AFTER last year’s washout due to rain sunshine broke through the clouds to bring smiles to the faces of those attending this year’s Culcheth Community Day.

Held on Culcheth village green the event was officially opened by Deputy Mayor of Warrington Cllr Les Morgan, and was hugely supported by large crowds enjoying the fun and activities on a warm day.

There was plenty on offer to keep folk entertained with BMX displays, Bozo and Zizis circus workshop, a karate display, a pet show and a fantastic exhibition of classic cars, bikes and tractors all adding to the entertainment.

There were also fair ground rides, coconut shy, hook a duck, golf challenges, netball shooting and the Wild Wings Birds of Prey who have recently won planning permission to relocate on land next to nearby Taylor Business Park

For the peckish there were plenty of stalls providing a large variety of food and drinks.

The annual event is organised by the Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council.
