2

warrington-worldwide has been given an exclusive look behind the scenes of the new Great Sankey Neighbourhood Hub, which is currently being developed as an extension to the existing leisure centre.

The £16 million hub, which will open later this year, will provide an integrated offer of leisure, health, and library services. It will also be LiveWire’s first dementia friendly facility.

New facilities will include a 120 station fitness suite, extended swimming pools, studios, health spaces, a digital library, café, and a spa.

The steel structure of the new building is now in place, and work is underway on the brickwork and external cladding.

A new entrance from Lingley Green Avenue and a new car park will be constructed shortly.
