Workshop can be converted to residential unit

PLANNING chiefs at Warrington have given the go-ahead for the creation of a residential unit in the grounds of a house in Bruche Avenue, Fearnhead.
The scheme will involve the conversion of an existing workshop/garage – and three nearby residents had lodged objections.
Members of the borough council’s development management committee were told the applicant proposed to replace the existing building with a new, single storey detached building to enable a relative to live in close proximity to his family to ensure his long term care.
The new building would not, therefore, represent a separate residential unit. It would have two en-suite bedrooms, a lounge and a kitchen.
Removal of three sycamore trees and one cherry tree was considered acceptable because of their condition.
The new property and its associated house would have off-road parking for six vehicles.
