WARRINGTON Town returned to the play-off places in the Evo-Stik Premier League with a 2-0 win at Barwell.
An own goal and a second half strike for Scott Bakkor were enough to secure a crucial three points on the road, despite the sending off of Daniel Hattersley for two yellow cards.
With results elsewhere falling in their favour, it means Paul Carden’s men have lifted themselves back in to fifth spot, having vacated the play-off places following Tuesday night’s defeat at home to Spennymoor.
Although the Yellows have played more games than all of their rivals, the race is hotting up.
