CCTV cameras aid town centre arrests

POLICE were able to make two arrests in Bridge Street, Warrington last night – thanks to vigilant CCTV operators.
The arrests were in relation to an alleged assault on a lone man.
Borough council CCTV operators picked up the incident and allerted police and door staff at a nearby pub also raised the alarm and as a result officers were able to be on the scene quickly to make the arrests.
A 23-year-old woman was also arrested in the town centre for being drunk and disorderly.
