Rain fails to dampen spirits at record breaking High Legh 10k

HUNDREDS of runners braved the rain to take part in the 10th anniversary High Legh 10k event which saw a new course record.

Winner James Wignall from Sale Harriers completed the course in 32:33, a new course record, kmocking 10 seconds off the previous best.

The first woman to finish was Zoe Gmerek, with a time of 41:42.

The 10th anniversary event was a complete sell out and runners didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits.
