WARRINGTON Town moved to within one point of a play-off place in the Evo-Stik Premier League with a 0-2 victory away at lowly Ilkeston.
The victory, which saw Warrington return to winning ways following a disappointing 4-1 defeat away at Nantwich on Tuesday evening, saw the Yellows move to 8th in the league table, just a point behind 5th placed Spennymoor Town.
Second half goals from Reuben Jerome and substitute Conor McCarthy were enough to see Warrington secure all three points against 10 man Ilkeston.
After a goalless first half Warrington tookt he lead through Jerome after the hosts had been reduced to 10 men with McCarthy adding the second late on.
Warrington now have a great chance of making a push for the play-offs with back to back home games, starting with the visit of Mickleover Sports on Tuesday evening, kick off 7.45pm, followed by the visit of Frickley Athletic next Saturday, kick off 3pm.
Town: McMillan, Askew, McCarten, Gumbs, Carden, Monaghan, Williams, Ventre, Harries, Hattersley, Jerome.
