Police hunt for distraction thieves

POLICE have issued CCTV footage of two men they would like to question following the sneak theft of a mobile phone after distracting staff at a Latchford shop.

The alleged sneak theft of a phone took place at Mucky Mutz in Latchford on Friday, February 24. It is alleged that they have together distracted staff and took a mobile phone that had been left unattended in their reach.

A police spokesperson said: “If you work in a job where the public have access, such as a shop or reception area, please keep your personal effects, such as a phone, out of their reach. The unattended Samsung in this case is most likely just what they were looking for.”
