THE finalists – and judges – have been announced for the live finals of Warrington’s Got Talent 2017.

Entries have flooded in for the borough-wide talent hunt, and the Mayor and his judging team have made some tough decisions in choosing the finalists from an extremely talented array of entries.

The 20 most talented acts will perform in front of Mayor Faisal Rahid and his team  judges in the Grand Final at Parr Hall on Friday, February 24 7.30pm.

The Mayor will be joined  on the judging panel by Dave Warwick, the man who discovered stars Rick Astley, Carol Smillie and Ranvir Singh; up-and-coming Warrington pop starlet, Chloe Rose; and current Miss Warrington and Miss Cheshire, Rachel Smiler Berwick.

The top 20 making it through to the live show are: Faye Gregory-Lambert, Georgia Mushet, APEX Dance Crew , Impact Dance, Alex Herriman, Adriana Ezelyn, Evolve Dance Crew, Karim Mbaye, Bear Glitz, Myles Prinsep, Daniel Halliwell, Fireflyz, Olivia Nestor, Lymm Adivas, independence, Senior Street, Jessica Green, indepenDANCE,  Junior B Street, Amanda Wilson, Bryn and Amber and Megan Edwards.

Up for grabs is a 1st prize of £1,000, a 2nd prize of £600 and a 3rd prize of £400.

As well as performing judging duties, Chloe-Rose (@ChloeRoseOFCL) will open the live show at Parr Hall with a performance of her new single. Tipped to be the next big female artist on the UK pop scene, Chloe-Rose, just 16, has already performed to audiences in excess of 60,000 at a number of high profile venues, including Old Trafford and at Wembley Arena.

She has been working with Mike Stock (Stock Aitken Watermen), producer for stars like Kylie Minogue and Rick Astley and has now been signed to MPG records, securing an album deal.

Cllr Rashid, who will be hosting the event, said: “The Warrington’s Got Talent final is set to be a spectacular show. We’ve been absolutely delighted with the quality of entries we’ve received – they really have proved what an abundance of talent we have in this borough.
“With a fantastic line-up of local acts and a judging panel with a real knowledge of the world of showbiz, it’s sure to be an unforgettable evening. I would urge all families and friends of the finalists – as well as anyone who enjoys an entertaining show – to pick up your tickets as soon as possible, so you don’t miss out.

“I would like to thank all those who submitted entries for the competition. It was a really tough job picking the finalists, and for those who didn’t make the final, rest assured it was only because the overall quality was so high.”

The Mayor also thanked Taylor Business Park; Torus/Golden Gates Housing Trust and Helena Partnerships; and the University of Chester for sponsoring the competition.
